Janusseal App for Outlook service interruption

This issue was fixed in Janusseal App for Outlook version 3.19.1 that was released on 17th October 2020.

This issue affects customers with Exchange on-premise mailboxes and Janusseal App for Outlook Cloud Edition.

Depending on the environment, a selection of the following symptoms may occur:

  • When a user composes an email using Outlook on the Web, and opens the Januseal App for Outlook side pane, the pane fails to load. (Exchange 2013, Exchange 2016, Exchange 2019) and reports that the add-in has been disabled.
  • When a user sends an email in Outlook on the Web the cursor spins indefinitely (Exchange 2016, Exchange 2019).
  • Messages can be sent without a security classification as user is not forced to classify upon send.

Janusnet has developed a code fix and deployed it to infrastructure in Australia, Europe and the US. Some affected customers will need to re-install the Janusseal App for Outlook manifest to obtain the fix; these customers will be contacted directly by Janusnet.
