How to back up a GPO

Many Janusseal products are configured using Microsoft Group Policy Objects (GPOs).

In some cases Janusnet may ask you to provide them with a copy of your Janusseal GPOs so they can reproduce your configuration in our support environment.

This article references the standard Microsoft article for how to make a back up of a GPO.

If Janusnet asks you to supply us with a copy of your Janusseal related GPOs, then follow the Microsoft article (link below) and then:

  1. ZIP the folder where you made the back up of the GPO, and ensure to include the manifest.xml at the top of the folder (the manifest.xml file usually has the hidden filesystem attribute on so you may not see it in your Windows Explorer view)
  2. email the ZIP to your Janusnet contact, or securely upload it at our Support Issue form
