At the time of publishing this page there is no definitive requirement for State Government's to utilise the Commonwealth's Email Protective Marking Standard (EPMS). It is Janusnet's considered opinion that this email marking standard offers the best interoperability for exchanging protectively marked emails between State Government departments/agencies, but also between other jurisdictions and for when dealing with the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth EPMS was originally designed with this flexibility and use in mind.
